When is the last time you sat down and engaged with loved ones when eating?

In my opinion our lives have become more stressful and complicated, in part, because we have given up the very ritual that has given us peace and solace in the past -- sharing meals with the people we love.

I have found that preparing and enjoying food helps create a sense of balance in our lives. Making time for family meals not only makes us healthier, but it keeps us connected to the world and ourselves.

Making simple choices about our diet creates healing in our lives. I am not suggesting that we alter our lifestyle, as much as become aware of the choices we make; starting with what we put in our bodies, and into what we feed the people we love.
